The Indio problem: big rooms and mixed light
Community halls and banquet rooms mix daylight, tungsten and whatever the DJ is doing, and a camera left to decide on its own makes everybody an odd color. I set white balance manually and light the foreground so skin tones stay right across the night.

Almost everything I shoot indoors is unaffected. For outdoor coverage we talk through a backup plan when we plan the day, and in the valley that is rarely needed.
