The Thousand Palms problem: lighting a building that was not built for it
A warehouse or a shop floor is lit for work, not for photographs, and it is usually lit by sodium or mixed fluorescent that turns skin a colour nobody wants to see. I bring light for the posed frames and work with what is there for the candid ones, which keeps the set looking like one event rather than two.

Often the most useful thing from a facility shoot. Real people doing the real job photograph better than anything staged, and those frames tend to outlast the event they were taken at.
Do you charge travel to Thousand Palms?
No. There is no travel fee anywhere from Desert Hot Springs to Indio, and Thousand Palms is inside that. You pay the same rate as anyone else in the valley.
How far ahead should I book?
Further out than the other two, because an event has one date and it cannot move. Most of my event work is booked a few weeks to a few months ahead. If your date is close, ask anyway, since cancellations happen.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Anything indoors is unaffected. For outdoor coverage we talk through a backup plan when we plan the day, and in the valley that is rarely needed.
